1 - Overview

Purpose

This document describes the functionality and design of the Administrative eXtension Tool (AXT).
This also provides a summary of tools that have been designed to work with the AXT server.

The AXT server performs persistent transfers, distributed commands and distributed messages on demand and provides error reporting to central Monitoring systems through SNMP alerts, syslog messages and system logs.
